Mental Health Warning Cards
My Aunty has mental health troubles, and has had for most of her life. In order to make it easier for me to know how she’s feeling and how I can help her, we’ve made a series of cards that represent different mental states, varying from “high (happy)” to “suicidal thoughts”. These cards will be displayed in a clear pocket/card holder on her bedroom door for her to update as her moods and feelings change by placing the card that corresponds with her mood to the front of the card pocket. The cards are colour coded, and have instructions on the back for how to care for her and help her when she’s feeling a certain way.
I think it’s a great idea for those suffering some kind of mental illness and don’t know how to communicate with those around them, so I wanted to share it with you guys.
This is a great idea.
Granny Weatherwax was not lost. She wasn’t the kind of person who ever became lost. It was just that, at the moment, while she knew exactly where SHE was, she didn’t know the position of anywhere else.
