  • Day of the Dead Cross Stitch

Excuse the cat hair, everything in my life is covered in a layer of cat hair, it’s the cost of owning fuzzies(pets).

Part of my inspiration for this cross stitch has been the work of Micheal Hussar. I really like his dark, bloody, sticky imagery. I usually stay away from making my zombie paintings too bloody and part of that inspiration has been Hussar’s work, you can make it dark and bloody without overdoing it.

Today’s Reason I Love the Internet: Advanced Style
“I am tired of the cult of youth. The cultural rejection of old age, the stigmatization of wrinkles, grey hair, of bodies furrowed by the years. I am fascinated by Diana Vreeland, Georgia O’Keeffe and Louise Bourgeois, women who have let time embrace them without ever cheating. Society today condemns this, me, I celebrate it.” - Tom Ford
A street style blog for the silver-haired set. So much inspiration! I love these amazing women (and a few colorful men). Here lies hard proof that style and fun don’t have an expiration date. I also love the advice these advanced fashionistas give. Among the best: keep dancing, anything black needs a lot of bling, and always dress for yourself! I am inspired to be better at all of these things, and a little less fearless.

THIS IS SO GREAT.

Love these dames!

These women have such amazing style!
